PFW - Barbara Bui A/W 2014
Enlarged chunky knotted knits with cream fur complimented each other well. The softness of these pieces were then contrasted against the monochrome leather studded outfits.
PFW - Balmain A/W 2014
My love for Balmain is never ending! From the pannelled peplum jackets and the knitted woven dresses right through to the hints of leopard and zebra print, everything was just so beautiful and well made.
PFW - Gareth Pugh A/W 2014
Gareth Pugh's latest show had a very Icelandic, snowy feel to it. It featured alot of aluminium silver pieces with plenty of white fur.
PFW - Balenciaga A/W 2014
Every season I look forward to the Balenciaga show and every season they never disappoint me. I love their dark tones, leather textures and embellished detailing.

MFW - Emilio Pucci A/W 2014
The bright bold prints at Emilio Pucci were extremely eye catching and made a huge statement as they were covered in studs. The show also featured some gorgeous cream and gold sequin embellished dresses that were beautiful!
MFW - Roberto Cavalli A/W 2014
I absolutely adore the dream catcher feather prints used at Roberto Cavalli. The contrast of the cobalt blue against the monochrome black and white works magnificently! I also like the tough studded leather tassels on many of the garments.
MFW - Dolce & Gabbana A/W 2014
It was fairy take heaven at Dolce & Gabbana, a show filled with heavy embellishment and lots of brocade and florals.

Daisy Chain
Thought I would share my latest accessories purchase with you all. I've always been a fan of statement necklaces simply because they can change the whole look of a plain outfit so effortlessly. My latest buy was only £7 from New Look. The monochrome daisies are perfect for this summer!

MFW - Bottega Veneta
One of my all time favourite trends has got to be monochrome. I just love how sophisticated and classy it is. Bottega Veneta put this trend to good use with this collection.
Being a textiles student I appreciate these textured prints that were also used in this collection for this season.

MFW - Versus Versace A/W 2014
From a printed fashion textiles student point of view I think the contrast of bright colours against black used in the Versus Versace collection works brilliantly! The print design work is beautiful and it's placement on each garment is extremely flattering
MFW - Gucci A/W 2014
Following from the incredible shows and collections at NYFW and LFW, Gucci was the first to be shown in Milan. I picked these pieces specifically because I find the disc embellishment absolutely beautiful! When used as a neckline or on skirt panels I think it's catches the light well and makes a huge statement.
A/W 2014 Pattern Fur Trend
It would seem that A/W 14 is all about colourful pattern fur. It was seen featured in many shows at NYFW and LFW including V Files, Libetine and Altuzarra.

LFW - Christopher Kane A/W 2014
Lime green, black and white, what a combination! I adore this colour pallette. I specifically like the black and white wavey checked shift dress, I NEED this in my wardrobe.
LFW - David Koma A/W 2014
From all the shows that I have seen at NYFW and LFW this has been my favourite collection from the fashion weeks so far. David Koma I salute you! From the amazing colour pallette to the woven detailing to the relaxing decorative prints. Every single detail of this collection is impeccable!
NYFW - Victoria Beckham A/W 2014
The monochrome colour pallette and gold chain detailing are beautiful for Victoria Beckham's new collection. I have fallen in love! If only I had the money to own a piece of this incredible collection.
LFW - Michael Van der Ham A/W 2014
I absolutely love the use of lace in this A/W 2014 collection. The bright colours look amazing and the textures are gorgeous.

90s Girl
Every girl remembers being at school with their hair tied back in some massive scrunchie. Each morning we had the difficult decision of which one would we wear today. Over 10 year later the classic scrunchie is back girls! Many retro lovers and fashionistas have been seen wearing this old school gem. UK fashion website, Hot Mess clothing, have been selling various designs for £4 each, personally I think this is tad expensive for a hair band. Luckily when I was up in Liverpool, visiting my friend at uni, I found a little shop that a had a whole wall of scrunchies for 50p each! BARGAIN! Another good place to find cheap ones is eBay, or why not get all creative and make them yourself with some elastic and old scrap fabric.

DIY Lace LBD
We've all been there, fallen in love with perfect dress ready for your night out with the girlsmonly to see the price tag and realise that it is way out of your budget. Yup, that was me last weekend, fell in love with a gorgeous black slinky strapped midi dress with lace trimming but at £70 price tag this was a no go. But lucky for me my sewing machine came to the rescue. On fashion website, Boohoo, I found a plain black slinky midi dress for only £18, bargain! I then went to my local haberdashery shop and bought 3m of black lace trimming for £2. Mix the two together and tada...
